TARGET ACCOUNT STUDY

Your real market, sized, and the accounts worth calling now

In about two weeks you get the size of your addressable market, every account in it ranked by fit to your best customers, and the signal that makes each one worth a call this month.

SOUND FAMILIAR?

Most teams are guessing at their market

The guess shows up in the pipeline long before anyone calls it a guess.

  • The market size came from an analyst report
  • Reps build their own lists, so every territory looks different
  • Outreach goes out with no reason to call this week
  • Nobody knows which accounts look like your best customers

WHAT YOU GET

What’s in a study

  • Your market, sized

How many companies truly fit, counted from public sources instead of estimated.

  • A ranked account list

Every account scored against the traits your best customers share.

  • The why-now signal

The event behind each top account that makes it worth a call now.

  • The method and sources

Where every account came from, so your team can refresh it.

  • Every number fact-checked

Every count, name and signal checked against its source.

  • A walkthrough call

We go through the findings and agree where to start.

HOW IT WORKS

About two weeks, start to finish

  1. 1

    Kickoff

A call on your best customers and what they have in common. You send a customer list, and a CRM export if you have one.

  2. 2

    Build the market

I find every company that fits, using public sources matched to your industry.

  3. 3

    Rank and check

Accounts are scored for fit, signals attached, and every number checked.

  4. 4

    Readout

You get the study and the list, and we walk through it together.

Signals a study can use

The right signal depends on your market. These are the public sources I use most, and most studies combine two or three.

  • Hiring

Job postings for the roles that show a company is about to buy.

  • New locations and permits

Expansions, new sites and construction permits.

  • Funding and loans

Rounds, loans and grants that free up budget.

  • Licenses, filings and leadership changes

State registrations, regulatory filings and new executives.

Pricing

Every study is a fixed price, agreed after a short call and before any work starts. The price depends on the scope: how many segments or regions we cover, how large the market is, and how many sources it takes to find the accounts.

After the study

Many teams use the list as it is and start calling. Others turn it into a running system that watches those accounts and alerts the team when a new signal fires.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from a bought list?
A purchased list counts what a vendor’s database holds. A study starts from your best customers, finds every company that matches them in public sources, and ranks each one with a current reason to reach out. You also get the method, so the list can be refreshed.
What do you need from us?
A list of your best customers and an hour for the kickoff call. A CRM export helps but is optional.
What if our market is small or niche?
Niche markets are often where a study helps most, because the vendor databases cover them poorly. Public registries, licenses and filings tend to find the companies those databases miss.
Can we refresh the study later?
Yes. The method and sources are documented, so your team can rerun it, or I can turn it into a system that refreshes on a schedule.
Does the study include contacts?
The study covers accounts. Finding the right people at those accounts can be added as part of a build engagement.
